OK - so today we spent the day in Disneyland - the original Disney theme park. Having been to Walt Disney World in Florida last year one thing is for sure: Disneyland is a lot smaller and has a lot less visitors from Europe (we haven't heard many English accents). This is almost certainly due to the the fact that Orlando is easier to get to - and Disneyworld and the surrounding area has been designed specifically for two-week vacationers - as opposed to daytrippers and weekenders.

The other thing we noticed is that the Disney employees (they call themselves "Cast Members") are less happy-smiley than their Florida counterparts. You get the definite feeling that they are doing a paid job rather than helping live a fantasy. Still - the place is still as squeaky clean in a Disneyfied sort of way - and we had a great time at all the attractions we could get to before our feet started to ache.
